MIDA is an interdisciplinary research group made of
applied mathematicians, physicists, and computational scientists

MIDA science objectives are:
– to explain complex systems in physics, biology, and physiology
according to data-driven mathematical models
– to formulate and develop computational methods for the analysis and interpretation of
multi-modal physical, biological, and physiological data

MIDA is designed according to a methods lab formulating and developing mathematical methods for image and data analysis, and four labs applying such methods to problems in solar physics, biomedicine, neuroscience and industry.

astro

analysis of hard X-ray and EUV observations of solar flares; forecasting of space weather events

med

mathematical modeling of biomedical data; computational methods in medical imaging

neuro

interpretation of neurophysiological data; clinical applications

ToK

transfer of knowledge from MIDA to the industry
